The partners of the European CTB project gathered in Lille and Loos-en-Gohelle for two days. This event among partners of the European Interreg Circular Trust Building project enriched perspectives and explored model projects in the Hauts de France. Following the Netherlands in January and Sweden in June, it was France’s turn to organise the event and welcome the whole team. The “CTB Hauts de France” team (HABITER2030, ENSAPL, CD2E) mobilised with energy and joy.

The shared goal among those committed to the CTB is to contribute to the transition of the circular construction and resource efficiency sector. This sector represents 50 % all extracted materials and is responsible for 35 % of EU waste and up 12 % of greenhouse gas emissions. The success of growth in circularity depends on a significant reduction in the material footprint of construction thanks to reuse, reduced materials extraction, and lower emissions.
Each territory focuses on different subjects based on experience, constraints, and available resources. This event allows for the identification of the most innovative practices and for the sharing of advances in research. It is also an opportunity to collaborate, for example, on an exciting poster exhibition showcasing the advances in training in the various regions.
